Orlando Bloom's mother has announced that she is planning to auction some of her son's movie memorabilia for charity.

Speaking to The Guardian, Sonia Copeland Bloom explained that she wanted to clear out the actor's bedroom before she moves house.

"I have spoken to Orlando, who is quite happy for me to get as much as I can for charity," she said.

"There are some real collector's items among them and they will all be authenticated by me by letter.

"We are inviting people to send us bids, of which the top ones will be invited to see the items before submitting a further sealed bid."

Items that fans can bid on include costumes worn by Bloom in The Lord Of The Rings and The Kingdom, as well as a poster signed by the entire Rings cast. They will also have the opportunity to purchase other personal belongings.

All cash raised will be divided between Unesco, the New Marlow Theatre, UKC Music Scholarships and cancer charity Odyssey.
