Jack White has admitted that he is not a fan of technology, it has emerged.

The White Stripes singer has confessed he does not own a mobile phone and avoids using the internet, reports Contactmusic.

White said: "I want to be part of the resurgence of things that are tangible, beautiful and soulful, rather than just give in to the digital age."

The musician, who has insisted in recording all of his music on analogue tape rather than digital, has revealed that his attitude angers other people.

He added: "But when I talk to people about that, they just go, 'Yeah I know what you mean', and stare at their mobiles. The general vibe I get is, 'Quit being a drag. We're progressing here'."
