The Chemical Brothers have announced their live return.
The pioneering dance group will end their 18-month hiatus from the music business to play two shows in London on May 20 and 21 and will also headline a night at the Sonar festival in Barcelona, Spain on June 19. The duo - Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands - decided to take a rest after a lengthy live tour in promotion of their last album 'We Are The Night' in 2007. The 'Block Rockin' Beats' hitmakers - who have headlined the second stage at the world-famous Glastonbury festival three times - have previously told how they worry about the long terms effects their energetic and loud live show can have on their health. Tom said: "Playing live is great, the feedback from the audience and all that. The only problem is that I really ruin my health with it. "On stage there is the temptation of turning the music louder and louder. It's like a drug and after a show I always end up with ringing ears." Tickets for The Chemical Brothers shows at The Roundhouse in London on May 20 and 21 go on sale at 9am on February 12. Source contactmusic |
