New reports claim Nicole Richie misses going out and partying since she became a mother.

The once troubled socialite, who gave birth to her first daughter Harlow earlier this year, is said to be having problems dealing with the new reponsibilities of being a parent.

A source revealed to Star magazine; "Nicole is torn between being a mommy and being a party girl. She wants to go out and have fun, but when she does, she's like, 'Uh-oh, Harlow needs me.'

She really misses her carefree life. Before Harlow came along, Nicole never had to worry about anything. All she did was party with her friends and go shopping.

Now she's totally overwhelmed by her new responsibility, even though she adores her daughter. Nicole still can't figure out if she's happier when she's home with the baby or hitting the town with her friends!"

Meanwhile, Nicole wants her new maternity clothing line to "make women look good at a really emotional time".

The reality TV star insists she wants women to feel good while their bodies are changing throughout their pregnancy.

She said; "My line will be about making women look and feel good at a really emotional time. It's about showing your best self, not your tired, worn-down self."

Nicole, who recently admitted to hating her post-baby curves because her enlarged breasts make her fell "sl***y", also revealed she had raided her fiance Joel Madden's warbrobe for clothes in order to cover her baby bump.

She said; "I wore so much Balenciaga during my pregnancy. But when my shirts got too short, I wore Joel's with a jacket on top."
