Ashlee Simpson Set To Marry
New reports are claiming Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are getting set to marry in a secret ceremony on Saturday (17/05/08).
The singer/actress and the Fall Out Boy rocker, who recently got engaged, have said to have told guests to keep the day free although they have yet to let anyone know exactly where the nuptials will take place.
A source revealed to Us Weekly magazine; "Proper invites have not been sent out but guests have been given a save the date notice."
It is said on Friday (16/05/08), close family and friends will join the happy couple for a rehearsal dinner and the following day guests "will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location".
However Ashlee's spokesperson has refused to comment on these claims saying; "This is a private matter. There is nothing to confirm."
Ashlee and Pete announced their engagement last month saying; "Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well-wishes, it means the world to us."
Meanwhile, Ashlee recently thanked her husband-to-be for keeping her "grounded".
The pop star insists she surrounds herself with good people and vows to never end up like her pop rivals Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.
She said; "I don't see myself following the path those girls take. I'm almost 24. I'm pretty together and I'm getting married.
"I wouldn't ever let myself get that way and I don't surround myself with 'yes' people. I think that's the most important thing.
"People don't control me or anything I do and I've never had that problem.".
