Tom Cruise Hoping To Bond With Holmes' Father
It is being reported that Tom Cruise is looking to bond with Katie Holmes' father through golf.
The handsome actor has offered to buy Katie a membership at Los Angeles' prestigious Bel-Air Country Club so they can play with her father Martin.
A source revealed to Star magazine; "Katie's father is not crazy about Tom, but Tom is really determined to win him over. Mr. Holmes golfs a lot, and now Katie is learning to play.
Tom is a member at Bel-Air, and he's in the process of adding Katie to his membership so Katie can take her dad to play with her.
Adding Katie to his membership is costing Tom $150,000 a year. That's a pretty expensive way to try to impress your father-in-law, unless you're Tom Cruise!"
Although Martin has never spoken out about Tom, sources however claim he was displeased when his daughter began dating the Hollywood superstar back in 2005.
It is said that he thought Tom was a bad influence as he encouraged Katie to join the sci-fi religion Scientology despite being raised as a Catholic.
Meanwhile, Tom recently launched a new website in order to celebrate his 25th anniversary of his first starring role in a movie as a "thank you" to his fans who have been supporting him throughout his career.
Tom landed his first major role back in 1983 starring in Risky Business a role that catapulted him to superstardom and has since gone on to star in over 30 major motion pictures.
