New reports are claiming Reese Witherspoon has banned boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal from swearing in her home.

The Oscar-winning actress, who has two children Ava and Deacon with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, is said to be determined to not let her young kids be influenced by Jake's foul language so she gave him a strict set of rules for her house before allowing him to move into her home in LA last month.

A source revealed; "Reese believes in wide-open communication, and she discussed at length with him what is best for her household. Some of the things she insists on are run-of-the-mill.

He has to take off his shoes when he's in the house, trash must be taken out when the can is three-quarters full, and no feet on the coffee table.

Jake used to swear like a sailor, but not anymore. If he does, he has to apologize."

However, Jake is reportedly not bothered by these house rules because he is so in love with Reese.

The source told Star magazine; "Jake would much rather stay at home, make popcorn and watch a movie than step foot in a club. So when he was looking for a girlfriend, he looked for someone who was past all that, and he found her in Reese."

Meanwhile, Reese once admitted she often sneaks out in the middle of the night just to check on her neighbours' garbage.

She said; "I'm very obsessed with trash. I like to throw a lot of things away, particularly at Christmas.

It makes me a little crazy when the trash is overflowing. I put on rubber boots and I literally get into the trash can and stomp on it.

My son Deacon calls me 'The Mommy Trash Compactor'! Sometimes I'll sneak and look at the neighbours' garbage cans and see if it's kind of empty.

I'll wait, literally until the middle of the night when the children are asleep, and I'll take my extra garbage and I'll put it in the can!"
