Sandra Bullock Still Grieving
Sandra Bullock has recently confessed to still grieving the loss of her mother, nine years after losing her battle with cancer.
The beautiful actress admits it took her years to finally come to terms with the death of German opera singer Helga in 2000 and revealed she continues to struggle with the loss of her loved one.
She said; "It took me two years to accept that she's not here. It doesn't get easier; it gets harder. But it's a good thing, because I feel it and I value it and I'm not rushing through life."
Sandra, who was named 2009's highest earning celebrity in Hollywood, insists the way she dealt with the grief is by using her status and power to help other women who are suffering from the same disease.
She added by saying; "I love to do things that continue what she started, whether it's making candles or creating a place for women going through chemotherapy to spend time with their families."
Meanwhile, Sandra revealed she kept turning down her role in 'The Blind Side' because she wasn't sure she would be able to do the role justice.
The actress, who plays the character of a wealthy woman who takes in a homeless teenager, who goes on the play college football, confessed she was worried about "messing up" the role.
She said; "I don't even remember saying yes to the movie. I kept turning it down.
"Not because I didn't like it, but because I didn't know how to do it. I didn't know how to make it the story that it deserves to be. I couldn't bring to the role what it needed.
"These are the kinds of roles that actresses can mess up, and that's one of the reasons I didn't want to step into it! I didn't know how to make it as good as the story."
However despite her doubts, Sandra admits she was glad she took the part telling entertainment show 'Extra'; "I'm glad I did it. It's still a scary thought for me. I don't know how I did it, but I had a lot of time to prepare for it."
